Open surgery exploration was performed which showed a solid renal tumour as well as an unconnected solid pararenal tumour. Partial nephrectomy was done and final histology of this tumour was a chromophobe renal cell carcinoma PT1bRo. Of the parenchymal tumour, frozen section biopsies were obtained intraoperatively which were reported as a neoplastic growth ; however this could not be differentiated further on frozen section. This parenchymal tumour was therefore, also resected and final histology reported it s a completely resected, partially regressive schwannoma; thus, a benign neoplasia. Postoperative recovery was uneventful.
